I have my 5 gallon tank which I am using as my "fry" tank. I have 5 three week old molly fry in there that I feed 3-4 sometimes 5 times a day (just a little bit every 3-4 hours). My mickeymouse platy is in the breeder's net giving birth right now. Should I also be feeding the platy fry tonight or just stick with the little bit I've been feeding the molly fry?

And, if you think it's interesting: my molly fry were also born on a Saturday at this time. Wonder if it's something in the water? :fun:

So, should I feed the platy fry tonight? I heard something about boiled egg yolk. If I feed that to the platy fry, would my 3 week old molly fry eat that too?

Sorry for all of the questions. I've only had mollies and platys for the last 3 weeks. I started with my betta and 2 otos in November.

Thanks for being patient and for being wonderful people.

I found my platy fry would look for food pretty soon after being born.
If you have no fry food egg yolk would be ok, but it will foul your water if you use too much.
Just crush the flakes as fine as you can, I have a small mortar & pestle that I used to make the flakes almost into a powder

Okay, I do have fry food (powder) and baby brine shrimp (frozen). So, should I feed like I do with the mollies and just alternate between the two? I don't want to mess up the water by any means. As soon as mom goes back to the community tank, I'll feed them. My molly fry are in hiding right now.

Yes, just feed the platy fry like you did with your molly fry & they should do fine :)
