Proxo - 240L Journal

You're all going to hate on me if i chop that wood up?
Stand is pretty much done, still needs a little work but should be ready to hold the tank.

Was planning on moving the tank sometime this week but the girlfriend wants to help scape the 55g so my plans are on hold until she's off work, little worried the scape might take longer then planned.
Just wondering how long a 6inch green terror would be okay in a 2ft 90L? It'll be running the filter from the 55g obviously.

Come on, man up! Get that scape done in a day! You can do it! :p

And that fish will be fine in there for a little while. He won't have a lot of space but the water will be fine :)

EDIT: Except that the filter may be too strong in the little tank, can you turn it down? Also bear in mind that the longer you take to do the rescape you may end up with a bacteria die back with them only having to support the one fish.

Come round and give me a hand, you can carry the tank upstairs for me :fun:.
The girlfriend isn't going to be here until about 3pm so doesn't give me that much of a day :p

The filter doesn't turn down nope, hardly does the job on 240L and pretty sure it's made for 'upto 400L'.
If it's too strong i'll wrap a bucket of moss around the outlet pipe

Only the terror and shark is going back into the tank until i can get some dithers anyway, the plec from my 90L prob wont move until i rescape otherwise i'll have to destroy it to catch it :/
Pics will flow when i get into that tank

lol, yeah right, I use the husband for anything requiring muscles!

Tell her to take the day off! Do it another day?? :p I wouldn't let anyone help me, I'd end up ripping their head off or something...

 Everytime i clicked my journal it took me to yours, you stealing my fans uh?
She can't take the day off, poor lass is on like 9 hour shifts with no break because somebody quit .

I forgot to mention that i could recommended some other fish to try in this tank as there was no bleeding hearts in stock, can't remember the names though

Congo tetra, black widow tetra and some kind of tetra that looked like bleeding heart without the heart spot? :S

lol! It's all part of my evil plan to irritate absolutley EVERYONE on the forum not just those unlucky few who commented on my thread

Columbian red fin tetras, pretty sure that was them now you've mentioned the name :D.
buenos aires in spanish means good air, i think :hey: GOOD AIR TETRA!

I'm so excited and i just can't hide it :fun:

Not a big fan of barbs mate, hate the constant nipping they used to give me .
Will prob go to the LFS for something i had my heart set on and come home with something different :fun:

Just cleaned the tank i'm borrowing with warm water and a slight bit of bleach , stuck a hose in it and left it on for a good 45min to flood the bleach out while i watched abit
of indiana jones on the box B-), should be safe enough uh?

Tomorrow is moving tanks and cleaning, monday is scape :D

240L tank is now upstairs empty, will be filling it tomorrow after the scape but i'm BRICKING IT as i'm not sure floor is going to hold .
Looks good, think wood is little too big for the tank though

I have a 160 and 180 litre upstairs. I want to upgrade the 160 to a 240 as well so tell me how yours goes :hey:

If it goes through the floor and i survive, i'm dead anyway :fun:.
Llegmore, where about upstairs is your 160 and 180 if you don't mind me asking? I've got a 90L upstairs in same room as the 240L, different supporting wall though.

It will be fine Proxo. Can't wait to see the new pics.

You can never have too big a wood. :hey:

The GT is gonna love it!! :D
