Poor Fish...

the scales are not abnormal, however, them fish in that tank... behave.

yes they are coy carp a friend of mine keeps them and they need a large pond not a sml tank.
that is disgraceful!!!!!!!!
somepeople should not be allowed to be in charge of living things.

That is not a koi, it's a normal carp, like the ones that get to 40 kg.

I agree.
He probably caught them in a local lake or something. I wonder what the "black sucker' fish is, there's no pic of it in the tank, its probably some sort of pleco or loach though.
Poor fish though gasping at the surface like that, looks like they are slowly suffocating in the warm temps.

The Carp are actually Ghost Carp, really beautiful fish but shouldn't be kept in a tank. They should be in a pond or lake, they can reach 40lb+ maybe 50lb+ if they're the correct strain of the species.

The black sucker looks like a plec, you can see the tail in the close up pic by the yellow ghost carp.

I really dislike the " some people shouldn't be allowed to keep animals! ". Maybe he/she doesn't know any better? You can't yell at someone for messing up like this, the person could think this is acceptable, just like pet stores selling goldfish in little bowls etc.. Lets try to educate, not persecute.

Very true, however it doesn't really matter either way with this person as they are selling their tank, they are probably giving up on the hobby.

Whether you know anything about fishkeeping or not though, i wonder how people can stock tanks like that/keep such huge growing fish in such a small tank and when they look at the tank they think "Yeah those fish have plenty of space! They look really happy/healthy!".
I mean, it doesn't take a genius to see the fish aren't happy in the tank- if you had a pet dog that was lying on its back gasping for air in a tiny pen/cage, you wouldn't think it looked happy and healthy even if you knew next to nothing about dogs.
I just don't know how people can be so oblivious to such things. Ok, they aren't the biggest fish in the smallest tank i've seen, but even i can see that its not normal for them to be gasping at the surface like that- its not like you go down to your local park and all the fish in the lakes/ponds/rivers are gasping at the surface, so one must come to the conclusion its not normal for two fish in a tank to be doing that either.

Ghost Koi carp. That is cruel keeping them in a tank! They should be in a pond of at least 1000L.
The scales are like that as they are probably hybrids of a mirror carp and a koi carp.
Here is a pic of a ghost koi carp i caught.
