Bloody awful how a supply can send out such poorly fish. Lets hope it was just a bad batch and the next lot are of better quality.

especially since most bichirs are wild caught you'd think they'd at least look them over and treat the sick ones-Anne

Its all about profit.....i looked at some of the other fish. In my humble opinion they look like they come from the importer to the wholesalers, and never feed while in quarintine then shiped to the shops

I guess I'm lucky the supplier my LFS uses always quarantines their fish. I've heard some nasty stories about the kinds of things some suppliers and importers will do to sell their fish.

yeh the majority of the fish were very skinny mainly being the ornate bichirs they sent incorrectly, so hungry they caught a khuli loach!! stupid work mates not knowing better!!

had a word with them other the phone today and apparently there manager is going to get back to me....

on the other hand my boss at the other shop was trying a new supplier this week that had come direct from singapore and found them very good, only 2 DOA and generally very good healthy fish.
