Hi All :D

At work and bored, thinking about the plecos I'd like to get but can't for various reasons, mainly being no more room in the tanks and the price/availabillity. I can't get any more plecs until we get a bigger tank :(

On my wishlist at the moment are:

L200 Green Phantom - looking for a really nice specimen
L264 Sultan - just saw these guys in our LFS and they are awesome
Albino BN - really, really want one of these
L027 Golden Line Royal - already got a Royal so couldn't take the extra poop load
L046 Zebra - the one we all want. They've got some of these beauty's in my LFS. Still trying to convince the hubby that we need to buy all 4 and try and breed them, even if it does mean setting up a 4th tank!

So that's my current wishlist. If anyone's got any nice piccies of any that are on my list (plecs that you actually own) then please post them so I can drool over them and be jealous of you! :D

What is on everyone else's wish list?

Hiya Bex,
Don't get me started on this one! As you know I love all plecs but I'm hoping to buy a Queen Arabesque when we get the new tanks set up. Our lfs are getting some plecs in next week so me and the better half are going to go and have a drool over them!!
The one we really wanted was the Adonis but unfortunately he'll get too big.

Ooh, Queen Arabesques are adorable, but very shy! Ours (Brian) hides all time, but then he is still tiny, I think he is only about 2" max.

no comment - If i comment I'll start buying again...

I've managed to get most of our wish list.

That makes me feel sooo much better smithrc

C'mon, there must be one that you really, really want but can't get at least till you get your 8ft tank?

A nice Big L025 Scarlet :)

Oh and a nice three beacon would make me happy.

Oh then a few True L183 Starlight Brisblenoses

See - Look what you've started!

Ooo, I saw a Scarlet at one of my LFS's the other day. Not terribly big yet, about 10cm. Gorgeous  . But we really have no space for that type of plec. So won't even think about them.

Those Sultans are gorgeous aren't they Bex!! Love em, but again, get a bit too big for our tank.

:D

mmmm, forgot about the Scarlets. Would also love one of those, a nice big one!

Medusa L034
Adonis
Titanic L203
Panaque cochliodon/Blue Eyed Pleco
GP L200
Black Eyed Gold Ancistrus L144 (after losing our baby one)
A true hypostomus plecostomoides or punctatus like these:

....rather than the liposarcus pardalis normally sold as common plecs (although I'm getting one of those too as they are my all-time favourites!)....

There's more, but I have to go unpack my albino common....

LisaLQ: I was just looking at the Blue Eyed Pleco on planet catfish. Very nice but why don't they have an L number? I might have to come and steal you Rusty off you, he's lovely!

Stang1: Scarlets can get mahoosive! About 18" max I think. But check out this guy!

Hope the link works!
He's lovely! Come to think of it, I'm sure they had that one in our lfs selling for £120!
There's too many plecs out there that I want. Might have to convince the other half to build a fish house with big enough tanks to keep some. :shifty:

It is Maidenhead Aquatics in Binfield, Berkshire. They were selling them for £180 each or £300 for a pair. We were going to try and make them a deal whereas they sell them to us a little bit cheaper, and if we can breed them we would sell them the babies back.

We really haven't got the spare room for another tank, spare cash or spare time to do it though :/

I might have to come and steal you Rusty off you, he's lovely!

He says thank you very much

The pics make him look massive, but he's only about 5-6" at the moment :) Moving into his new tank soon, along with a juvie gibby, and my new baby common. Incidentally, the albino common my hubby picked up fo me turns out to be a chocolate albino :) Hubby didn't know they came in pink too  He/she is very pretty though, sadly no pics yet as it's hiding
