I just read about flushing some live critters down the toilet. I did not want to get involved with the morality of what was done, or seem like I have a problem with that person in particular. I just want to emphasize that one should make sure any animal they flush is dead first.

If your too squeemish to kill it, you need to find a way that you can deal with it. Putting it somewhere and hoping it dies is not a solution.

Basically this is another "Don't release you critters into the wild" thread. Especially if they are sick

(I throw all my dead fishies (no not that many  ) into the compost or bury it next to a plant. If you don't want to flush the corpse you could try that )

Well, hope your all having a good day!

wouldn't it be better not to flush dead fish down the toilet? that can release nasties into our water systems.

Yes, but people have this weird facination with flushing fishies and I figured I may as well make it better rather than stopping it all together

But yes, garbage, compost, burning, or burying would be better

True!!!!!

I thought that's what the toilet is for..... ....????
Of course I think they outa'be dead first!!
