Platy And Guppy Fry

Hi so im just wondering if i can safely house platy and guppy fry together ?

ive been waiting for a bit now for one of my guppies to start popping out little wiggler and im sure its going to be soon from what ive read so i had put her in a tub inside the main tank only to notice a few little wigglers already in a plant in the tank found the culprit turned out to be one of my new platys. so she is now in the tub. my question is that when she is done and the guppy has her fry can i keep the fry together in the same set up ? like i said i wasnt expecting the platty to pop anything out but id like to give it a go but i only have one small tank set up and ready to keep the guppy fry in.

Any advice greatly welcomed

yes you can. i used to have plattys,swordtail,guppy and molly fry together. No problem ever came from that.

Aw good. Thanks for the quick reply. going to return the platy to the main tank and replace the guppy now i think.

she has had 15 fry and has dropped 3 eggs the last 3 were the eggs so does that mean she is likely done now ?

Does her belly still have any swelling?if not probably yes she's finished.
