That looks really good mike!! You should add some more slate and try to clear a little of the fogginess out of the water, otherwise that looks great!!  :D
Edit: on second note, it isn't foggy, I think the way the pic was taken makes the light wash the color out a little. Still awesome!! :)
Edit #2~ what is that clear stripe in the backround?

its not foggy its crystal clear what u see is just the light reflecting off the back of the tank

progress so far, i think i need a dark red plant anyone got any suggestions

now thats a planted tank - just the sort i wish mine would turn into! I've recently setup with Greenline plants - can't fault them.

i have plants realy thick at the tops like you - i pinch them out at a leaf node about a third of the way up (where it stops being thin) and then they re-grow realy bushy.

your tank is cool

EDIT: in that clump of green leaved plants at the back just to the right of the ornament i think some "HYGROPHILA ROSANERVIS" would be subtle but stand out nicely.

Simon.

well iv been away for a week and came back to find my tank over grown and full of hair algae so i did some pruning and some aquascaping and im pleased with the results. im still waiting for my hairgrass to spread but i will just have to be paitent
