Hey all, so im just in the process of saving up some money so i can get the parts for my first saltwater tank (lljd i will have enough money soon enough! Thanks for hanging in there!)
So far all dandy, especially with spring and lawn cutting money on the horizon it shouldn't be to long till the ball gets rolling!

anyways, was wondering if there was anyway to have my 10 gallon and 20 gallon tank sit next to each other and connect them somehow with minimal drilling so that it would be a larger system and i could use the 10gallon as a refugium mantis tank while the 20g remains the main show tank? any ideas? Any way to do this without drilling?

So i was thinking and came up with a little collaboration...

What if i was to divide the 20 gallon tall tank in half with a piece of glass with holes drilled in it for circulation. Then to keep water constant between the two parts, get one of these babies -http://www.amazon.com/HB-210-Finnex-.../dp/B005VFLAG2 to put on the line of the divider so that the intake pulls water from side A to side B. now to stop the water from overflowing just cut the notches you'd see on an overflow onto the divider so water flows back into side A from side B. This way one side could be macro algae mantis tank and the other, corals and shrimp/goby pair! What do you all think?

or it could be a duo mantis tank? i dont quite know...
