i think i have a muppie unsure tho

i bought a pair a sailfin mollies ages ago (now both dead all in a night)

while they were alive i awoke to find many fry which i caught and netted only 5 survived tho 4 grew into guppies and 1 grew into this. had it about 8 months and is only about inch and half long.

do u know what it is

the mollies were both sailfins so surely after 8 months their baby should be bigger than this

If you had guppies, the fry that looked like guppies are probably from them... can't tell you what's going on with the size of the molly, but molly-guppy hybrids, especially when there is a PAIR of mollies present, are extremely, extremely rare. Animals will almost unwaveringly choose their own species as mates over another species when given the option.
