Dont get offended from what Im about to say but ***....what were u thinking...

Why are u keeping in angel in those conditions......14 Neons in a 5 Gallon I just to keep 8 of them in a 20 gallon and I thought that was overstocked but that.... Please get another tank for those fish Im asking PLEASE ...Everybody knows how I feel about angels. Please just leave the Betta in there and but him a few corys and there.....Poor angel there must not even be 6-8 inches of height there.......

EDIT: Neons need a lot of space to be happy....Thats not enough....I agree with Wuv...My eyes popped-out

I'm thinking that it's the tank manufacturers who are to blame. I know that sounds absurd and it is the fishkeepers responsibility to stock & research BUT they put pics of combos like that on the box of the tank. I always, ALWAYS see angels and tetras on the outside of small tank packages and it just makes me ill. The unknowing purchaser says "hmmm, I don't know what fish will work in here so I'll judge by this picture, they look happy enough"

wow i agree with everyone ... way to small of a tank, but also ur angel may even start eating the neons.I heard that in the wild there even angelfishes natural food!!!!! im not too sure if this is true but i do think so! thats a good idea your getting a new tank. Thats a beautiful angelfish and u wanna keep it

Also I know it is overstocked and not my fault all of the fish except the betta in there are my mums. I am trying to get a bigger tank and no the angel does not eat the neons.

tank conditions arn't ideal, but as long as your getting a larger tank VERY, VERY soon, it should be OK

Yeah...I didn't really realize he was in a 5 gallon tank at the time I wrote that...but he does look healthy. But definitely give him a bigger tank as soon as possible. He will look so much prettier and happier once he's in there...and then I want even more pics.

I like the fish I think it is very healthy looking. You really do need to get a bigger tank soon. but I Know how tight money can be and this day and time you cant just run and buy a bigger tank just cause you need it. I know these things take time. I am real aware of the cost and stuff like that. But the pictures are very nice. Just keep the water good and clean until you get money for a new tank.

Gezz is that all people can say that i am overstocked A) I think I have got it by now 50 people telling me that and B) I think that 1 inch per a gallon is a bit drastick I think my fish are quite happy as it is.

Also please remeber I am trying to get a bigger tank but seen as i am 14 money is a bit of a problem, I am trying to get a biggish second hand tank.

I understand how hard it often is to afford things you need. The important thing is that you know you do need it and will be working toward it.
