Hi all,

Its not to everyones tastes (and still needs more work!)

I've got to find a way to hide the wires (most of them are too short to reach the floor) so that I can put pot plants either end of the stand :p

I'm pleased that the new external filter is less obtrusive than the 2 Eheim HOB's I had at either end (from previous tank), and think the power head is great :)

Anyway, I'm still trying to source som 'small' and 'very small' skulls and bones (heck might as well go full tilt! - plus the big hollow skulls are very plec-popular!)

Contents are currently - 4 whitecloud mountain minnows (very kindly posing in the random phone pic ;p ), 3 bristlenoses, 1 pit bull and one bulldog.

I will be transplanting some javafern from another tank (although, I've never tried growin it in a high flow environment?)

And I'm hoping to add:

more pitbull plecs (or hillstream loaches, or black otto's when the tanks longer established, or mor epitbulls if I can find healthy ones) more white clouds and possibly some kind of centre-piece fish (though what I don't know! ;p)...

I'm still debating whether to add a background! and after christmas should have a decent light too :)

Please let me know what you think so far, and any thoughts?

ive got visions of having a whole skeleton crammed into a tank like the poor guy was stuffed in there to drown, and now the fish live round him.

That would be pretty awesome ;p

I've been trying to find some 'mini' skulls here in the UK, but we seem to only have the big ones! (thought these are 3 for 2 in pets at home ;p )

On ebay there are loads of little 'stone', jade, topaz etc skulls would be gread as little pebbles, but I have no way of seeing if they are aquarium safe...

Not a fan myself but i prefer natural looking tanks

I'm considering replacing the skulls with slate caves, only problem is, the skulls are a great shape and the plecs love 'e, for dashing in and out of..

Id keep the skulls, get a black background on there, some floating plants to darken it down. Might look good if the skulls were uneaven too, like maybe 3 piled up and one on its own with lots of plants... just an idea

Cheers :) great ideas :p

I want lots of swimming room in this one :) so no more plants (but am considering Vallis in pots...)

I may remove three of the skulls an take a saw to them to change the angle they lie at....?

Cheers!
