Pet Store had 2 male Bettas in 1 tank!!!

Exchanging ideas? Putting two male bettas together? Not to mention the picture of two male bettas in the same tank?

As for exchanging ideas, yes, I see what has been discussed here as exchanging ideas. If you'll read BlueIce's posts you'll see that he has kept several bettas together successfully. Having said that, no one here is "propagating" it, simply discussing, debating and asking questions. If you'll read the thread again, you'll see most everyone agreed, males should not be housed together.

Do you truly believe Daniodude did this with bad intentions? Do you think he wanted to see his fish fight possibly even die? I don't think he has sadistic tendencies at all, just confused. Why else would he have asked questions, posted pictures and then separated them?

If that’s how you people exchange ideas in this forum then I'm sorry it was my fault to visit this section of the forum and rebuke those who wanted to take on the "challenge" of putting two male bettas together.

"You people" - That comment right there has me a tad bit confused seeing as you post on this site as well . . .

If i catch anyone who put two male bettas together I would personally take them to police for animal cruelty, and make sure they never keep fish again... Name calling such people is quite mild, so keep your advice for yourself.

I have no advice to give on this subject. I think it's been concluded fairly nicely minus the name calling.

uhhh...I have some catching up to do!

First of all, I would never,ever put 2 males together and I'm quite surprised that there wasn't more aggression from the members than is shown I know that if I had been around at the moment that this was posted...

I'm putting 2 Bettas in a 10g right now, under close observation, and a net on hand. They will go by each other, and flare, but they don't fight. will the flaring eventually turning to fighting?

Despite the fact that net is in hand, I would have gotten my feathers ruffled too. Aside from the name calling, I completely agree with everything zoraak said.

if everyone's gonna be mad/angry/whatever about this post, why don't we just not respond to it and let it just fall off the page- if u kno what I mean
it's done its over with, Im not planning on trying it again in the next lifetime, so why don't I just remember what I learned from this, and it can be over with
