i can see what you are saying, but livebearers, especialy are going to breed. i mean, it only takes a tiny bit of reasearch of reading of other peoples posts to know when they are going to drop.
To me it's a bit like being a member here but saying you get bored of people asking questions about fish.
I'm not saying your wrong in any way with your views, just trying to point out the other side to it :)

true  but lets leave the subject for another time before we hijack the thread! :ninja:

My thing is blowing into cups or glasses before I will pour my drink into them. I'm scared of dust. It's silly really because in our house we always store out glasses facing downwards so no dust can get in, but I still do it anyway!

Haha I do that too!

Another is people who get animals and don't take the time to educate themselves about how to look after them properly, and the animals suffer as a result >.<

yeah I'm with you there.

i have a pleco that can grow up to 24" and he is in a 20 gallon right now.. been there for years and is only around 6"... the thing is with them... the bigger the tank, the more room they have to grow.
taken from TFF today.

^^^^makes sense, I mean Victorian women used to cram their feet into tiny shoes to stop them from growing and that didn't have any drawbacks did it? ;)

lol, did they?
I knew they did their corsets up so tight it caused internal injury. (to some)
but was unaware of the shoe thing.

just goes to underline how stupid humans can be.
which was kinda my point, in my post.

not aimed at the OP in my quote, more a "scatter gun" comment.

Big feet were considered masculine so every woman wanted danity little feet and would squeeze then into small shoes to stunt their growth. All that happend was the bones in their feet grew the same size but the bones and toes became warped and disfigured.....very much the same as keeping a large fish in too small a tank, they don't stop growing they just deform to fit either externally or internally :/

In ancient china and scarily today, it is and was considered very attractive for women to have small feet.
Big feet were masculine.
So to keep they're feet as tiny as possible, from childhood girls would shove their feet into tiny, tiny shoes until they drew small and deformed
Kind of like what happens when you put a big fish in a small tank
Here's an x-ray
