most corner tanks are tall, i think its a trigon 190? if so its 23"s high.

but imo i think rainbow cichlids like lisa said are a great idea.

if so id go for something like this;

Decor

Sand
Bogwood
Real plants
maybe a few rocks

Stocking

2 Rainbow Cichlids (Male and Female) -- Herotilapia multispinosa -- gets to 5" - 2 = 10"
6 Neon Blue Rainbow's -- Melanotaenia praecox -- Gets to 2" - 6 = 12"
2 Bristlenose Plecs (Male and Female) -- Ancistrus sp. -- gets to 4" - 2 = 8"
6 Corys (pick te ones that take you fancy) -- most get to around 2" - 6 = 12"

Makes a total of 10"+12"+8"+12"= 42" nd in a 41g i think that will be alryt!!

imo that would make a great stocking.

DA that sounds perfect!

great stocking list DiscusAngel, if only i could do that off the top of my head :hyper:

lol thanks lisa and matt :D i always pick my main fish and work round it. then you see where there from and wha kin of conditios they like. and these all like plants, sand, and bogwood maybe a few rocks. makes an ideal stuation :D

LOL i was waiting for someone to pick up on the "latiC" language. And i agree a GT has the potential to get to big for that tank.

I like people who agree with me.. shows their common sense and vast intelligence... :shifty:

Just to clear up, sevrums aren't a suitable choice either. There just as agresive and active as any other large cichlid.

They reach at least 10" and have a much larger body mass that compared to a green terror which aren't very deep bodied compared to the green terror.

Both GT's and sevrums will quickly grow from young 3" specimens to around 7" in under a year I have found.

A 10" severum is a rather large specimen - usually they are found at about 8" average. it is a thiner fish although more deep bodied but isnt as aggressive as a green terror and a less active, more docile swimmer.
By the way. If you read my previous replies, youd find i said " at a push you could possibly get a single severum"
no mention of it being a compleate ideal cichlid for this sized tank.

A 10" severum is a old severum but not a rare size for the species. I'ved seen plenty of 10" severums, until you seen one this size you dont realise what a big bulky fish they are. The ones I'ved seen, netted and bagged have equal bulk to an oscar.

Severums are a very active fish and just as alert as other cichlids.

Your last say on introduing a severum was...

The severum should be fine in your tank.

But that post was edited today so who knows what it said previously....

at a push you could possibly get a single severum
that was my exact quote.

A severum should be adequate for that sized aquarium. It is not ideal, but a much better choice than the green terror.
A 10" specimen is unusual, Severums usually stay at about 8".

A green terror ( aquidens rivulas ) can grow potentially to 12", the severum is likely to stay at around 8". Severum may not be community fish, but are alot more placid than the green terror, also the green terror, is fish with a much higher body mass than the severum, and requires the length pf the tank as appose to its height. The severum should be fine in your tank.

*cough cough*......

No severum should be put in that size tank, the only reason it would only reach 8" is for being put in a small tank.

The severum is an as bad choice as a Green Terror.

For a person who keeps a asian arrowana in a 5ft tank along with an asortment of large cichlids, you speak rather quickly and confidently.
Im not here to continue to argue with you and be childish with these comments, It is quite clear what you are doing as it has previously got me banned from the forum, ( thanks tolak ) due do your remarks.

A severum should be ok in your tank. BUt a single. I personally would not keep a severum in that sized tank but it seems this is practised my many people successfully.

Lol dont try and attack my fish, there in plenty big enough tanks. Any one thats seen my tanks will tell you so to. Saying that stocking is slightly different to whats on my profile now. May only be 5ft long but it's 3ft wide so thats loadssssssssssss of room tah very much.

It's not my fault your rude.

So you'll kick up a stink saying a 4x2x2 is too small for an oscar but find it acceptable that a severum goes in a tank half the size, for a fish that is quite a close match on size to an oscar....rightttttttttttttttt!
