Peoples Ages Keeping Fish At

I'm 58 and have had fish for 16 years. It all started with the four goldfish my sons won at the fair. Am I the only person on here who had fish BEFORE they had a tank? These fish spent their first night in our house in a mixing bowl. Gave them away to someone with a pond 9 months later and went tropical.

Nope! Not the only one! My then 3 year old son was at daddy's and caught a 12" goldfish in a pond. I got 3 hours notice I had to figure out how to keep the thing alive because daddy can't tell lil man no. All I could find on short notice was a 10g tank, so convinced my son to let "Nemo" go back home to his family where he'd be happy and we could get some little fish, so daddy took him back the next week. Had no idea it would turn into an obsession for ME.
