Our Turtles

Nice looking turtles.

The 4th from last pic of the Chinese soft shell, is it me or does its neck look far too long for its body? Made me chuckle anyhow.

They have ridiculously long necks. Mine's can sit at on the substrate, stretch his neck the 4 and a half inches to poke his beady eyes above the surface of the water!

Cool Turtles Jay, been meaning to ask what sort of pond setup you have for your bigger two? take it they aren't left out all year round?

Been handling the smallest yellow bellied turtle i've ever seen today, as we have just had our first shipment of turtles at work now the breeding season is over

we have a 4x4x2.5 for them with fish in too i cought them at it the other day too lol they will come out when its starting to get colder as the pond isn't deep enough it needs to be atleast 4ft deep for them to live in it all year round and hibinate in there
what turtles do you sell in the shop mate ?

I bet the big ones love that outdoor pool. I would love to do something like that for mine, but with all the cats round here and my two little boys its not possible.

no not at all, the turtle will bite the ducks feet and cause horrendous damage (speaking from experience here) unless the pond was huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge?

and yeah i know im not jay..just thought id give my opinion

Jay, do you mind if i put some pics of my turtles on your thread? (saves me starting another) our rescue has 10 turtles now...not accepting anymore now unfortunatly until we build another pond but fingers crossed that should be soon!

it all depends on the turtles temprement! it could attack anything in sight of it could be laid back and not attack anything. but you wont know this until you try. do you want to put anything at risk just in case it does attack?
