Our 125gal Tank

mix a bit of washing up liquid with water (to make it dissolve, which will make bubbles) then get a paint brush and brush it on (the liquid, not the bubles!)

oh rite do you put the soapy water onto the parts. i was thinking you dunk the whole thing into a sink of soapy water...oops

BAH!
Looks like we might have a problem.
Looks like maybe BBA or something similar is starting to pop up on some of the plant leaves.
Will up the CO2 tomorrow when it comes back on.

Got some more photos!
Today has been hectic to say the least.
Emptying out the tank, catching fish... bleh! I'm frackin tired!

But we've gotten the replacement, so that's good. Hopefully this one won't develop a crack *grumble*

Where the fish were. See how it's only half full? That's at least 10-12 inches from the top of the bin. 1 of the rainbowfish wanted to try its luck outside of the bin so jumped for it. We didn't spot it until it was too late :( RIP rainbowfish.
The killifish also tryed jumping for it and almost got out as well before we put the top on. Crazy fish.
When people say they're jumpers.. they are not joking!

bin with the plants. I haven't replanted yet. Waiting for the water to clear and to let the fish settle back in.

New tank! YAY!
Partially filled (nice bacteria bloom for ya.. will have to keep an eye on water stats). Has the wood in it, substrate and rocks. And fish. You can see 2 of the silly clowns schooling with the tiger barbs in the photo :p
5-26-4.jpg

Speaking of clowns..... 1 of them got stuck in the castle ornament!! I had to use a screwdriver and a hammer to chisel it out. I think I may have hit it in the head when the part where it was came off. Not with the screwdriver, w/ the ornament. Poor thing :( I hope it's ok
Photos of where it was stuck. The part that I broke off

The hole is less than the size of a dime. Or slightly larger than an eraser on a pencil. I have no idea how it even managed to wedge itself in there.
5-26-3.jpg

From the bottom side. I could only see its tail. Tryed pulling it out w/ tweezers b/c I couldn't fit my fingers.,.. but it was thoroughly stuck inside which is why I had to break the top off

I swear... fish are going to give me a heartattack!

Will get more photos tomorrow after I replanted everything.

Update on that clown
Good news to report. It looks like he's ok.
Went to feed the tank. Noticed the rest of the loaches swimming around but not that one so got worried.
As soon as I put some food in the tank, it appeared.
Tailfin is a bit raggedy as I expected it to be, but other than that, it looked fine and was eagerly munching on the food. WHEW!

About to start replanting soon. Tank still looks like it's going through a bacterial bloom which has me a bit worried. Will have to check water stats just to be sure everything is ok.

Woot! Just got done replanting. Ya know... there are 12 sword plants in the tank lol. I think 3 or 4 of them are sister plants. Man I love swords!
And didn't realize just how many plants we actually had in the tank to begin with. Sheesh!
All of the plants look ok so far.
And for the most part, I didn't just randomly plant them all everywhere. Actually thought about what might look good, etc etc heh.
It's still not fantastic, but better than what it was before I think.

The tank water is still pretty cloudy. Checked for ammonia and all clear, so probably just the bacteria that was in the substrate causing it. It's clearing up though.
WIll get better photos of the tank tonight.

First up... the clown loach that was stuck. Acting totally normal. Tail looks bad, but not as bad as I was expecting heh
(it's the one up front, you can kinda see the tail)

Going to fill the tank up completely tomorrow. Still letting the fish settle back in some. They were so cute when I was replanting. They'd cautiously follow... watch as I replanted, darted away when I was pulling the grabby stick thingy out of the water, then rush over to look for food by the plant :p lol
Was able to just plant a bit better since all of the eco complete is mixed in throughout the tank now instead of being in just 1 area.
I really don't like it all over the place, don't care for the way it looks, but oh well! heh We have more sand... I could always add more to spots if I want a sandier look. Actually I think I will do that to some spots. Give the fish some softer areas to dig around in. I'll do that tomorrow before I fill the tank up the rest of the way.. and after I've cleaned the sand very very well.

The tank looks a bit symmetrical with the pieces of wood where they are, but oh welp! With the way they're shaped, really no way to solve that.

More photos! Yay :D
Water has cleared a little bit, but still pretty cloudy.
Fish seem to have settled back in well though. I'm sure the BGK is a bit bummed out since it lost its castle home, but, nothing I can do about that unfortuantly.
Thinking I may not put it back in to the tank. We'll see though.

Random fish shots first....
The rainbowfish colors really come out at night. Too bad since they don't brighten up until the lights are out lol.

Bosemani... hoping we can get at least 2 more :D
Bah... you can see the remaining BBA on the anubias leaves. Really hope that clears up.

Bad photo of the killifish. I couldn't resist not taking his photo. He's such a little begger!
5-27-5a.jpg

Giant Danios.... I had to take about 10shots just to get this one lol... They are getting so big. Wondering how much bigger! They're great fish though. Love the regular little ones so much. They get an undeserved bad rep for nipping. I've never seen them nip. Chase yes, nip, no.
5-27-4a.jpg

Albino Tiger Barb.. or Gold Tiger Barb, whatever you wanna call it :) They're little piglets as well.
5-27-9a.jpg

1 of the Hybrid Rainbowfish... They're not as flashy as the bosemani, but they still have really pretty colors to them. Like this one who has that leopard spotting on its fins (like guppies get).. What pure blooded rainbowfish did it get that trait from?
Was waiting for this one to turn so I could get a good body shot, but it just wanted to stare at me that way lol

And one of the peppered cory looking for some munchies. This one is from the newer 4 we added. Only reason I can tell is b/c it's smaller than some of the other ones lol. The other ones are almost as big as our old cories.
Blends right in w/ the substrate

Adding a little more sand tomorrow in spots... and... yep... might have to move some plants around a little bit so they don't get buried too much w/ the extra sand.

The fish look great. :good: Hopefully your BGK finds a new place to call home somewhere in there!

He's been hiding up under the big piece of wood on the right side. heh He comes out at night though, and comes out when it's time to eat :p

Refilling the tank is going to have to wait... same w/ adding a little bit more sand.
Woke up with my lower left back just aching like crazy. Feels like I pulled a muscle or something. How, I have absolutely no idea.. SIGH!

Couple of random fish shots that I just took...
Was taking photos of the cories, but got some of a rainbow and a clown loach.
Colors are a bit faded on some of the fish b/c I turned the lights on to take these photos so got them while the fishies were sleeping heh.
Weird how the rainbows colorup though *shrugs*

Saw one of the peppered cories has a cut on it's body. Oh no! :(
No idea where it could've gotten that from. I've never seen any of the fish take any interest in the cories. And nothing in the tank that I can think of that would cause it. Poor little thing. Hopefully it'll be ok.

Also kinda hoping the water will tint back up some. The brightness of it, is a bit.. I dunno.. reminds me of an office building lol.

Back is feeling a bit better (so long as I don't move certain ways heh...) so will fill tank and add more sand tomorrow... unless I wake up with something else aching... sigh.

Having a bit of a problem with a lot of the plants.
Looks like quite a few of them are losing their old leaves. Looks like they're growing new ones, but still not a pretty sight to see lol.
Also the cabomba is starting to break up a bit.
Since replanting the tank, have found at least 1 cabomba that's been uprooted w/ like parts broken off. Been replanting everything I can but ### is it annoying! rofl
Will get some tank shots tonight :)

Photos! YAY! lol
Not great, but I was in a rush :)

Green Dust algae... booooo
Can't believe it's already come back!
6-2-2.jpg

BBA! Double Boooooooooo
### stuff looks awful. Think might get another turkey baster just so I can squirt some excel right on to the spots w/ it.
6-2-3.jpg

Corkscrew vallis growing new leaves after the old ones died off. Just glad it's actually regrowing.
6-2-1.jpg

Old leaves on the sword compacta dying off. Looks awful, but the new leaves look good. I should probably trim it, but I've been lazy.. bad me!
6-2-7.jpg

Dang cabomba! I replanted this one... went back to the tank later to turn the lights off, and even more is floating now! AAARRRRGH

Killifish! (( wow, look at the brown algae on the filter intake lol))
