I've had my betta oscar for over 2 years now and I've always fed him a mixed variety of Flakes and pellets. When I first got him he use to always spit out his pellets and not eat them, but then after a few days he ate them. Recently I've noticed he's been spitting out his pellets and not eating them. What do you think is wrong? He is still eating his flakes normal but not his pellets?

Don't feed for about 3 days to start. Toss in one pellet, let that be it. Bet that pellet gets eaten.

agreed with Tolak and Nelly. feed a bit of pea and fast for three days. see if you notice his poo and what color it is etc. i bet he eats the pellet too. be careful of overfeeding pellets, can lead to internal problems in bettas, especially "elder" ones.
cheers

i agree with the last three
post don't feed then after that
cooked de shelled peas should help
been checking up on the pea treatment
thing it seems to work well for
constipation an bringing back
appetites

thanks guys, could I also try to start feeding him bloodworms and see if he likes them?

bloodworm = protein
too much protein = BLOAT / CONSTIPATION

I thought that was the problem to begin with..............
