glad to hear :good: i have absolutely everything crossed that they hatch, there are a few white eggs but most are light browny colour so looking good so far. i never expected it so soon after putting them in their own tank, they must be happy in there even with a pH of 8 and hard water..... i went in to do a water change as they hadnt been done in 8 days and found them all going nuts laying eggs everywhere so i cant even say it was a water change that spurred them on! i guess i got lucky for once

Great pics & sounds as though the eggs are doing well, I cant wait to hear news of them hatching :good:

good news and bad news im affraid.....! i have just seen 1 fry swimming in the net :hyper: but a large number of eggs have a white fur on them, im guessing this is fungus!

just took the remaining eggs and about 20 fry out of the net and put them into an ice cream tub floating in the tank with an air stone in it. fungus had got the better of most the remaining eggs so i discarded them but left about 10 eggs that looked ok in the tub.
i cant believe i have 20 fry, wow......!
what do i do next?
i know they live on the egg sack for 2/3 days but what then?
i have first bites and liquifry and brine shrimp eggs at the ready......
please someone help me as i dont want to loose any fry.........

Congrats :good: thats good you have some fry :)

I made a mistake of putting eggs in with newly hatched fry when i first got eggs and unfortunately they didn't hatch, has the food bits got stuck to them, whether this is the norm i dunno?

Best to keep the bottom of the tub clean,i feed mine on first bites, liquidfry is very messy.

Good luck with the fry :good:

how quick did you start feeding them on first bites? i went and got some brine shimp eggs today ill start hatching them tomorrow i think....

I didnt bother with hatching brine shrimp for my cories, they had Hikari first bites from 24hrs after they hatched, three times a day & 100% water change twice a day & they grew very fast & healthy.
