My blue crayfish possibly is sick, I'm not sure however.
He's sitting at the back of the tank now for 3 days, listless and limp.
He reacts to my touching him, but not in the usual "jumpy" way.
He isnt eating, at least as far as I can tell.

I'm curious about your opinions and/or any advice on what may or may not be the problem.

It might be getting ready t molt, don't worry about feeding since they can go months without food if need be.

You can try a small piece of raw potato, they love it.

But I would say leave it alone for a few more days and see what happens.

For tons of info BlueCrayFish.com forums.

Is the water clean?

Oh ya, the water is clean and levels are fine.
I thought he may be molting, but I'm pretty new to keeping crayfish as pets.
I've had him for about 6 weeks now, he molted the day I got him, so I didnt get a chance to see how they act when doing so.
I hope this is what's happening, I've kinda gotten "attached" to the little fella.

thanks for the reply.

Now, if he is molting, i know I should leave his molt in the aquarium for him to eat and replenish his calcium, but should I add liquid calcium to the tank.
I was advised to do so by our local pet stores, but I have yet to find this type of advice anywhere on the net.
what do you think?

My cray ate her shell and she is healthy with no added calcium. I vary feedings from live fish, shrimp pellets and crab/lobster bites, frozen peas, and raw potato slices. The lobster bites have all the nutrients they need.
