my petco got a new stock of rams! and some were gold and there was even a longfinned one! omg!~ i need some for my 20gl. (when it gets stable) and i ws wondering...

how do u sex golden rams?

i think its that the male has long ppints at the begining of his top fin, and the female does not...

Search for ' german blue ram' on google's images... If you compare a male and female's dorsal, you'll notice that the first few rays are much longer on the male. He will also have generaly longer, pointier fins.

yes the females will have a pink belly

a really easy way is the back of the dorsal fin. females will round down toward the tail while a males will go up to a point. also the second ray of the dorsal on a male is very exagerated. Pink belly on a female, and the males are generally larger than the females.
