Omg Look What I Found

Hope you'll have those Farowella kittens soon. X)

How cool! Congrats!
Thank you both, and yes I hope soon. I leave next Monday for 5 days in Vegas.
The store owner has offered to buy all the fry at a pretty decent price, and since I'll not be around for the crucial early days I'm going to take him up on it.
He loaned me a smallish round glass bowl of sorts with a big for the bowl sponge filter placed dead center.
Asked that I would move them to it asap after hatch and get em to him within a day or two.
I will be getting plenty of picture though for sure.

Yay! Kitten pics! X) Can't wait to see them when they hatch.

And so it starts. I noticed the other tank mates were horribly excited and dad was a wreck trying to chase em all away.
So I moved the bulk of the eggs / fry into the little brooder provided me. Left a few for dad to protect.

So hard to get a good picture

While searching the tank for stray fry I noticed something behind the internal filter, Not sure what I'm seeing.
Extremely Small white living "bugs" of some sort. Literally so small I cant get the camera to focus on them.
Sorta oblong ish and move with a random jerky flittering motion, Should I be concerned?

I don't see anything on the fish, as a matter of fact they all appear to be great health.
I did have a few random deaths, mostly new comers 2 weeks ago, but chocked that up to them being new and possibly stressed. Nothing since.

Edit: I wonder if since I have skipped a cleaning while the eggs were in there I grew some water fleas, or daphnia maybe?

Could be water fleas indeed. They jump a lot.
Wish I had them, lol.
My bunch of swordie fry would love those.

Gosh I hope it's something harmless like that.. was unexpected, and now I'll be watching closely.

Most of the stuff that grows in tanks is harmless.
Unless it's dragonfly larvae or hydra. Which your bugs can't be.

hydra sounds exotic and scary, Greek mythological type stuff

your response is reassuring. thank you.
For all my research and building theoretical knowledge I still lack allot of real world experience.

Hydras are cute though, I can only dream of having some. They'd be a good treat for my fish. Although my fry would say otherwise as they'd get eaten by them...

Also, today I might get a new female swordie, hope she won't consider my smaller fry as food...

Looks like it is waving at us, cute and creepy at the same time..
So now it looks like my Yellow tail Acei in my cichlid tank is holding.
Baby central over here!!

Cool.
My tank is fry-ridden. They can be spotted in all my pics now. And I have a new addition to the tank, a pink lyretail female. Yet unnamed though, trying to figure out her personality.
