Its funny isn't it, how some of the very old programmes keep appearing year after year - the Clangers are from the 60s. There was/is a huge following

Depending on how old I was at the time, my favourites included:
Captain Scarlett and the mysterons
MASK
Dangermouse (still love it)
Thundercats (still love it)

Then a few years later I started watching red dwarf...

Kids tv these days is rubbish, there is certain things I will not let my little girl watch, for example Telettubies, I mean what is that teaching kids....apart from not being able to speak correctly.

I loved all the long series/storys like the ones above.

Also liked the kids spitting image style program called Round The Bend.

All the puppet ones you stated Biffster were great also, although I caught them second time round rather than in the 60's/70's!

last kids show i ever watched would be the episode of spongebob i watched this morning since there was nothing else on and my brother had the remote so i couldnt change the channel, it still made me lol tho

I like the spongebob episode with the health inspector.

Now that you mention discovery channel, we never had it when I was little, but I was a massive David Attenborough fan. From the age of about 6.

Its hard to remember back as being older was the better tv with Dukes of Hazzard, Magnum, Airwolf, A team, Strrethawk, Manimal etc

as a youger child I remember Chocablock, Button Moon

I used to love watching:

Catweezle (remember that crazy old tramp-like chap?)
Hector's House (with Za-za and Kiki)
Skippy
Flipper
Land of the Giants (Oh how I loved that prog)
All the Watch with Mothers (Andy Pandy, Woodentops, Bill & Ben etc)

The one I never got into was Blue Peter - the presenters always irritated me with their whiney/boring voices!
