Oil Cat

Never heard of or seen these fish before. They were labeled oil cats. They were white with black spots, and between an inch and two inches long. The head was rounded and the seemed really docile. Any info on the guys would be great....they were really neat looking fish.

That's exactly what it is!

I was sure that it would turn out to be a a two foot monster catfish, but it says they'll only get a little over 2 inches.

Has anyone had any experience with these?

I'm going back to the lfs tomorrow...hopefully they will still have some. I love finding all of my unique little fish.

Beleive that is in the same family as my midnight catfish which has the same body sahpe but a grey colour. Really nice fish, you will not see them during the day but they swim around at night at mid level. We put in some moonlight LEDs so we can see ours swimming around!! Seem to be quite fussy eaters mine absolutely adores Cockles. !!
