:D

The first two pictures are of the paly polyps, the small things in the 1st image are ones that haven't opened up yet entirely.

I've counted around 30 or so of these on some of my rocks. Most of them appear to be opening and turning orange though, while some seem to have a bright green center starting to develop. :D

Yesterday I got a new fish, a hectors goby.

and for the heck of it, i snapped a picture of my clown.

YOUR TANK LOOKS REAL NICE. I HAD A 20 GALLON HIGH. A REALLY GOOD FISH TO HAVE IS A SCOOTER BLENNY. GREAT PERSONALLITY AND WILL SWIM ALL OVER YOUR TANK. AND IF YOU REALLY WANTED AN ANGEL, YOU CAN GO FOR THE PYGMY ANGEL, I HAD HIM IN MY 20 GALLON AND HE DID GREAT, SOMETIMES WOULD BOTHER NEW COMERS BUT AFTER A WHILE WOULD ACCEPT THEM. ALSO YOU CAN ADD A CLOWN GOBY OF SOME KIND, THEY ARE AWESOME FISH!

NICE TANK OVER ALL THOUGH!

Thanks, and as some of you might recall I originally made this tank as a school project. Well, I got an A. :)

Anyways, a few days ago I bought my first coral (besides my hitchhiking polyps which are still doing great.)

I got myself a pretty decent sized patch of green star polyps, they seem to be thriving. I have since fragged it into 4 pieces, one large one, 1 medium, 2 on the small size.

Heres a picture of them from the largest patch, I'm unhappy though because my camera couldnt seem to capture the real neon-like glow from these guys.

and for the sake of updating heres a picture of my tank with blue lights only,

Well, my hectors goby is doing great and all, but my brother managed to kill my clown fish over spring break. :(

Maybe it was revenge for not taking him on a cruise. hahah, eventually I'm gonna get another clown, but I'm in no hurry.

I also think I'm going to get something similar to the hectors goby, like a court jesters goby or something, or maybe one that does "sit around", depends what I find.

For now though I am going to focus a bit on getting soft coral, mostly because I want my tank to look amazing for my June 16th Graduation Party. :D

Congratulations on the graduation. What are you planning to be, a marine biologist :p?

Thanks and Thanks. As much as I'd like to be a marine biologist I think I'm probably going to major in Radiology. However I might go do some research up in Alaska sometime with my 'cousin' who is a professor/marine biologist up there.

Ok, new update.....

I went to Italy for two weeks to catch up with a girl i met over springbreak.

anyways...my parents were supposed to look after my tank, keep the water up ext.

I come home to find the water down to about...little under 50%, we'll say 40%, heater broken, causing the water to boil....yeah, about 95 degrees F.

As you would guess, not good. I'm starting from scratch now. I've already cleaned my live rock and sand, now I'm starting a new cycle. Sometime soon I'm also going to buy some more live rock to restart the little critters in the tank. But yeah...not good.

Now, my question for you, at what point should I add my new live rock? Once this old stuff appears to have cycled, or try to put the new stuff in and cycle it all together?

I'll post some pictures of my new aquascape soon too. (at least one benefit is I think the rocks are arranged better now, hahah)
