have you ever been nipped off any of your own fish?

Had my hand in the tank today too pull a rok out and got a nip on the hand off a tiger barb the little blighter lol left a little mark on my hand

My convicts bit me, I was moving around their cave where their fry was and they both came at me and broke the skin.

yeah the barb broke my skin iv'e even got a pic lol

My mollys nip me but it tickles lol. They try to like eat me or something. Lol  :fun: I find it amusing that they give me little kissies everytime I put my finger in the tank.

yeah mollies are fine lol they used too do it to me hand in my other tank all the time lol but a tiger barb can give a nasty nip lol

In my dads saltwater tank the shrimp comes up and cleans your fingers lol

I might try and get my oscar to bite me, curious to know what its like :D .

I have a scar from a red zebra. My oscars bite me, but it doesnt hurt. I reckon when they get bigger its going to suck something awful.

You should try using gloves next time. I use the disposable gloves that you can buy on ebay or amazon with good results. It's not really safe to work in the tank without gloves anyway...

I wash my hand with hot water prior to entering my tanks and have never had adverse effects from doing it that way. I think introducing a glove that has who knows what on it (powder, etc,) pose more of a threat than a clean hand.
