Nin's Tanks

Thanks for your answer Nin.  My son also loves your tank.  He really likes the theme, and is now saying we need to do something like yours.  I wish I would have thought of the black bottom, as it shows everything off so nice.  Maybe one day we can change things up, but will keep what we have for now.  It is an expensive hobby getting started.

I have a little 5 gallon tank that has been in a closet for years, that I have a feeling my son will be setting up trying to mimic yours.  We were at the fish store yesterday, and they had a lot of ornaments similar to yours, that he had his eye on.  Wants to create something like yours for his Betta.  He's 20 by the way, but is getting quite involved in this hobby, and has been reading posts on this forum as well to learn more about his Betta.

You're welcome! I'm glad to hear that. On the first page I explain how I switched to sand, if you want to read that when the time comes. It is expensive but really enjoyable!

There are some lovely oriental decorations at Petsmart, small enough to use in a 5g. This hobby is really fun to share with family

If he hasn't already, THIS is a good read on betta care. You can also find it at the top of the page.

Lone habrosus cory seems to be doing well. He seems chunkier now than he was in the 20g long. He would not stop moving!

Thanks! Oh D: I thought the bristles meant it was a male. I love him/her regardless!

Girls often get bristles around their top lip.....only males get them running up their nose
