Newby help please!!!

Are they lethargic or breathing quickly and/or have red gills? if not, then they're just chilling. Guppies are surface fish after all.

Edit: Nice nails
No nothing like that atall they are perfectly healthy.. I checked that earlier on as I first thought about white spot when my golden female was flicking herself in the gravel which since the water change she has stopped doing all together. They were doing that when I had the blue light on. Now I’ve turned the lights off completely for the night they have come back down from the top. So I guess your right they must just be chilling 😅 had me worried!! But yeah my water is all looking good now and I reckon with the next water change tomorrow it will all be perfect in there. The tank wasn’t brand new as I bought it from someone with a couple of fish already in there so the filters got all the right bacteria already in it etc. Was chuffed when I realised I got a couple of Kuhli loaches in there! Cute little guys I love them!🥰 ps Thankyou haha 💅 💅

Yeah, they will go to the bottom of the tank to rest when they sleep. How many kuhlies do you have? Also, can you tell us which tanks have which fish, as I'm getting confused and then I don't know where has what and how many

I’ve just found a dead fish 😣 he was fine last night! not sure what it is as it came with the tank.. it was in the new tank though.. any ideas what this may be??? I have a photo if you need to see it just incase. But the female guppies are still hanging around at the top of the tank I’m about to do another test of my water. Also the larger kuhli is swimming around a lot this morning..

A few questions;
  1. Tank 1: What fish?
  2. Tank 2: What fish?
  3. When you set up Tank 2, how did you cycle it?
  4. For Tank 2, besides fish, what else did you put in there from Tank 1?
  5. Are you sure that you are correctly testing the water in both tanks, including thoroughly rinsing out the tubes between tests, (no soap)?
  6. Are you using the right dose of the right water conditioner when you change the water?
  7. Are your hands totally free from product, cleaning or otherwise, when you work with the tanks. (No offense, but longer nails are great for holding soap, etc.).

That's a sparkling gourami I believe. I didn't see a sparkling gourami in your earlier fish list, so I assume that this came with the new tank?
Beat me to it!
This was the original list;
1 yoyo loach,
7 neon tetras,
4 rummy noses,
1 oto cat,
2 small shrimp,
4 female guppies
7 male guppies.

That said, I also see Cardinal Tetra in one tank and Neons in another.

I highly recommend you get live plants as a) they will help remove toxins and b) They are better for the fish and give them natural cover. Some easy ones are ludwigia or java ferns. The java fern you can just tie onto a decoration(don't bury the rhizome). The ludwigia needs nutrient rich gravel, so either you get some or you can just bury the pot(I recommend new gravel as you can put more plants in it and it's less of a hassle in the long term). You can also buy floating plants such as duckweed(DON'T), salvinia(like duckweed but objectively better), and others like red root floater, and anything that isn't duckweed.

Right.. I will list both tanks and what I have in them.
Tank 1 (original tank)
9 male guppies (2 came from new tank when I swapped them)
4 rummy nose tetras
7 neon tetras
1 oto cat
1 Yoyo loach
2 shrimp

Tank 2 (new tank)
5 female guppies
4 cardinal tetras
3 rosy tetras
2 kuhli loaches
1 molly

When I did the first water change of the tanks I put some water (about 5%) of water from the original tank in there aswell as the female guppies. Other then that nothing. I’m very careful with the water conditioner and always put what is directed to put in there. The temp is at 25 degrees celcius. Tank 1 is perfectly fine and I have no problems with any fish in that tank what so ever. It’s just tank 2 (new tank) that I’m having problems with. The last owners left a little water in there when I collected it (about 20%) but since then I’ve obviously refilled it once and then done a 70% water change yesterday before I did the test shown in the previous photo. Yeah I always wash my hands before tending to anything in the tank. The journey back was a little stressful and the previous owners left the fish in the tank when I collected it.
