New Tank Setup By A Newbie

Update:

Well i noticed the female cichlid doing some funny things over the last few days, as she started picking up gravel and spitting it out. a few hours later she had a dug a large hole.



I thought she was decorating her area until a day later i noticed several hundred eggs hiden behind the log attached to the filter system.

today they started hatching and she moved them to the 2 smaller holes she also dug.

Heres dad watching over one of the holes with babies. theres another round the corner



I presume they will be moved to the large hole when they hatch fully.

They've been in the new tank less than a week..

Yup, I'm abit shocked. I got them last Tuesday, in a new tank setup, and today i've got small wiggling eggs everywhere.

Btw can anyone advise what I do about feeding them?

Brine shrimp is a good food, in the past I've just bought crushed tetra prima type foods also

Save me some fry!
