New Stock Wanted....but What?

Hey Guys, 
 
Now my gf has bought my 60ltr tank off of me and im giving her most of the stock that will suit that tank, the other fish, im giving to my mum. 
I want to know what fish would go best in my tank (Pic below) to accommodate vacant hiding spots, etc.
 
I want to have at least a couple bottom middle and top dwellers if possible
 
Open to all ideas

As bottom dwellers I highly reccommend kuhli loaches.
As mid-top dwellers a school of espei rasboras
As a centrepiece fish a betta or a gourami male

With small tanks the best option is small fish and I mean very small fish.
 
Maybe a group of Dwarf Cores on the bottom and school of Normans Lampeyes in the middle and then a trio of Pygmy Gourami for the surface/centrepiece fish. You could try Badis Badis as centre pieces or any of relatives/variants. Mini Anchor Catfish are nice as well.
 
Shirmp are good in small tanks as well.

The only issue is that i want some color.
 
I was already thinking corys for the bottom (about 6)
 
But want some nice colors for for the middle and bottom 
For the middle i was thinking 6-10 neons and 6-10 zebra danios (providing that isnt too much
But i want a centerpiece fish/s that will stand out.
Is there any cichlids i could have?

danios are best in long tanks to allow them to swim freely.
 
 
Badis badis are extremely colorful!  Same goes for espei rasboras.

I'm guessing you're referring to scarlet badis, never heard of them being called badis badis though. Actually just looked it up and I guess that is a common name for them! Always just heard dario dario or scarlet badis. Anyways they're awesome little fish and a trio would look nice in your tank. Personally, I would remove everything from your tank and replace with live plants. Some easy plants that will really "fill in" your tank are amazon swords, crypts, ludwigia, water wisteria, anubias, java moss, and many other commonly found aquatic plants. How many gallons was your tank again? A pair of peacock gudgeons or apistogrammas would make great centre pieces. For a schooling fish you could get celestial pearl danios or cardinal tetras.

OK, i have had a thought and im thinking the following
 
6 cory's 
1 BN Plec
10 Neon Tetras
3 German Blue Rams (Centerpiece)
 
i was thinking of a few, say about 5 glass catfish?
 
Would these all be ok together?

They would get along fine in a sufficiently sized tank.  Your tank isn't big enough for that number of fish.  3 Rams in that small a tank is a bad idea.  It would be better to have only one.  Further, the glass catfish prefer bigger tanks, as they can actually grow fairly large.  Its best to keep them off the list.

Uhm unless you keep your water quality in pristine condition and your water is VERY soft and acidic stay away from gbrs..thats the reason I suggested apistogrammas, arguably just as beautiful but much more hardy. Another option for a centerpiece are Bolivian rams. Keep in mind bn plecos produce a ton of waste, but if is worth it to you then go ahead.

Hmmm, i was told they like hard water and around 6.0 ph?
 
I do like the apistogrammas, he bolivian rams look nice too. Maybe ill have a look at those instead

6.0 ph is fine, hard water definetly no. In the wild they're found in areas with ph as low as 5.0. The most important thing to have is soft water for gbr, that and water quality..apistogrammas can be a tad bit hard to find, but bolivians shouldn't be a problem. If you're ordering online you can easily find either.

My LFS has GBR would they be ok to get if i could get the stuff to treat the water to make it soft? 
I really like them, and i dont really want to replace them with the next closest think, know what i mean?

Yeah I know what you mean.  By any chance could you test your water and post how soft it is, the gh, kh , ph.
