Go on get another greenie... you know you realy want to !

Better than watching the TV  LOL

He's nipping her!!!! She sort of swims vertical when he nips her with her head down. Is this a dominance takeover? I'm saying dominance I don't even know if she was the alpha female. I would assume because she is the biggest and when she swam the others did.
I might be able to get away with fitting one more in there. I have been monitoring my stats closely ammonia is 0 and nitrite is 0. My water has started to go cloudy which is probably because of the new tank, I did a water change this morning then after acclimatising and adding the rest of the shoal I did another one.
Will do daily changes until the waters clear. I had this when I got my 64L but I used accuclear. I wont add anything just keep doing water changes.

If it gets too bad try giving him a bit of 'time out' in your breeding trap for a day or so, but you will probably find one of the others will take over where he left off.

Maybe another large greenie will be a distraction and give her a break !

Edit....Whenever I get cloudy water I stop feeding completely and do partial water changes for as long as it takes until it all settles.

The thing is, she follows him and he follows her then suddenly he'd nip her then they start swimming together again! Weirdos lol.
I didn't even like the green ones they look like Christmas trees! But it's the emerald coloured shimmer when the light hits them, it's gorgeous. I couldn't resist.

your very lucky to get extra fish from your lfs, i normally get less than i bought and paid for ! ha ha
Not if they are going to grow about 3 feet long!
Yeah I am quite lucky like that. For example my plants-it's not indian fern I was wrong I have it confirmed it's wisteria! Anyway the wisteria is 3 for £11 the other bunched plants (vallis and cabomba) are 3 for £5. The woman must have been confused as she gave me the 2 bunches of wisteria and the bunch of cabomba for £5. Go me and the confused staff of lfs :p

Sounds like two males trying for top dog !

I am pretty sure, going by the lack of nose colour and how round she is, that she's a female! The albino one has dark orange colouring on his nose and is a lot more streamlined so i'm sure he's a male! I could however, be wrong :p

Took this pic after switching the tank lights on and feeding them.

Love it!  Post another vid, I want to see all the barbs swimming together :)

I shall do it now since little one is at nursery - ah peace and quiet ;)

The cherry barbs were put back into there believe it or not the guppies started nipping them. I don't know what their problem is they did it to the harlequins too and I had to rehome them. So far so good. I am still waiting on this guy coming to collect them. He was a no show yesterday and I have not heard anything from him.

Here is the video of my laid back barbs. They seem to do their own thing now esp when I go near the tank!

Very nice!  Your camera skills are making me dizzy though

I just popped down the LFS and had a look at the barbs, my favourites had to be the gold metallic barbs.  beautiful colourful fish.  You've got me wanting a barb tank now, my other half will never agree to it!

Sorry! I need a tripod :p Or next time I will use the ipad! I keep forgetting about it as it's my little ones.

I seen the gold barbs yesterday when I picked the other guys up, I love them too. I am quite p****d off that the guy who was going to pick up my cherry barbs yesterday was a no show. I love these little guys and the tigers don't seem to be bothering now since they are in such high numbers! I know I have loads of fish but they seem happy so I will keep them for just now. If he turns up he turns up if not then tough.

Lol I have never considered barbs. They were bagged up from the previous person when I went to pick up the tank and the man said they were left behind and if I could take them. I really wanted rams and they have the electric blue ones in the LFS but I am happy with these guys :)

Looks great and I love the wood, especially the one with the hole through it.

Glad you identified the plant, WISTERIA is a great plant.  It is weird though as in my aquarium it has grown tremendously and you can see it here on the left, yet the plant on the right has hardly grown at all.  They were purchased at the same time and live in the same conditions!  Only difference I see is that the one on the right is near the water outlet, but that faces the side of the tank to prevent too much current for the Bettas so would be surprised if that was the reason, anyone any ideas?

Your LFS sounds like an amusing shop, try going back and seeing the same lady, saying "I will take the same plants as last time, two of those and one of those for £5" just to see what happens.

Thanks, I have seen people on here finding interesting sticks and pieces of wood from the outdoors and I would love to find a stick that goes the whole length of the tank with branching that would look awesome!

I find that with my vallis in my 64L. The bunch next to the flow and the one in the middle are growing fine, the one furthest away from the filter is turning brown!

I went back there today to look at sponge filters, I also wanted to get the name of that catfish that almost came home with me. It's called a clown loach. I am glad I spotted it, from afar it's hard to tell the difference as they are swimming with the barbs. I love this wisteria, I have trimmed it and planted them behind the wood, that shouldn't take long to grow and cover the whole back wall! I've always loved the jungle look.
