The wood was a dead root. I had to have it. We will find out tomorrow if it was ok...
I want the swords to grow big and the cabomba too. That side of the tank is going to be the jungle. That's my vision at the moment with the sticks coming out of it into emptiness.
Yes I am mad :p

Looks great. Not something I would personally have in my tank but you've made it look great! Let's hope it's safe! :)

Thanks! Yes lets hope after all this everythings ok!

It doesn't look that big in the tank, the other bit that snapped off is just begging to be wrapped in some moss. It will look like a tree. Will look awesome. Will take a pic later.

Aww little soul I bet she enjoyed that... mummys little helper... like when I used to take my nephews and nieces to theme parks just so I could ride the Roller Coasters !!!

No she moaned all the way home lol. Her nursery is only 10 mins along the road and she still moaned! I did feel bad for her as the branch with the bit I cut off was actually bigger than her so I carried it the rest of the way!
I love rollercoasters! I don't use her as an excuse to go on them,  I do however, use her as an excuse to go on the big slides at the park :p They are awesome!

lol.... The Vampire at Chessington was my favorite...

....back on topic, I think you have positioned the root just right and should look great when it 'weathers' in and greens up a bit with algae and moss.

Thanks. I'm thinking of taking the mopani out that's on the left and have rocks there instead. Don't know if it would look empty.

So what i've done is taken 1 of the established sponges out the fluval and interpet filters and put them into the marina filter that came with the tank. It's huge and it hangs on the outside the only thing that goes on the inside is that tube and black sponge. The water circulates round the filter cartridges. They are constantly wet. I have put an established sponge on either side and 2 new sponges on the inside as it takes 4.
The only reason I did this is because the mini one stopped working in the 30L so I have put the U2 in there, the 150L filter is in the 64L tank and the 95L tank has the filter it came with. I also did a water change and so far the stats are spot on apart from the PH is 6.5 but we have soft water up here so I will keep an eye on it so that it remains constant. I do daily water changes as it is, to make sure it's properly cycled.
