I made up my mind. I put the cherry barbs into my 64L awaiting collection. I have 5 tiger barbs, I got 3 green (I don't really like the green variety but am warming towards them) and I got 3 albino tigers. That brings my shoal to 11 so I am at max. 
I think the tigers are spectacular fish even though they are brutes!
They are all whizzing about together, what a sight! I am glad I kept them

They are brutes! I am really warming to the green ones with their bright emerald tails. I think I have 1 male with the bright red nose and streamlined body and 2 round females!
My tank looks busy now although, sometimes you look and think where is everyone?
The mystery plant which is growing really big has been trimmed and the cuttings placed at the front. I love jungle scape so I am hoping this one grows into that!

I knew you couldn't resist. They are lovely. Green with a bit of red on the margins.

You're right, I fell for these guys hook, line and sinker and am so glad I kept them. They are really gorgeous fish I love the albino ones. I think I have 2 males and a female, the males look comical with their red noses! I also love that they all swim together, then go off and do their own thing. That's when the tank looks empty lol. 
I think I got a bit of new tank syndrome which is why I am at max capacity already lol

I forgot to mention we almost had a mishap yesterday when they were giving me the other 2 normal tiger barbs. They were in a tank with these chunky catfish that were the same colour and stripy. They caught the 2 tigers and put them in the bag then when I looked there was one of the catfish in there too. It's a good job I noticed or I would have come home with this thing! They just don't pay attention at the lfs, It's happened so many times with my guppies. I asked for 3 female guppies, come home and there's 5 in the bag

Thanks Pete.  What did you think of them? Were yours active and pushy too?
My tanks just a little overstocked but they seem happy enough. Once again will take a video tonight when child is in bed

Loved em... I found they do well in as big a shoal as you can accomodate so that any bullying is dispersed ( a bit like keeping Mbuna ) but there will always be a 'pecking' order and a poor little runt right at the bottom of it so be prepared ! I know what a sweet softie you are, its just the way it is.

I know! I felt so awful for the tiny littlest rasbora when I had the harlequins, he wasn't even allowed to swim with the group!
I haven't found bullying amongst themselves yet, they just didn't like the cherries. Now they are an 11 strong group (my OCD is itching for me to get 1 more green to make an even number) and they are quite peaceful. I also found it was the 2 new ones yesterday who had the issues and they are the smallest ones!
The male albino and the big female normal tiger seem to go away from the group and swim about together before joining the others. I hope they aren't going to have a showdown to see who is the alpha male/female!
Over all I am happy with their behaviour and they seem a lot more relaxed now that there are more of them.
