£20 for a secondhand 60L Marina tank with hood, light, filter and very powerful heater. Slight leak- £3 tube of aquarium silicone later its good as new. BARGAIN!

i've had both and had a leak in the second hand one. was my own fault though i hadn't quite lined it up on the stand, only overhanging a few mm's but over time the pressure was enough to crack the tank.

Ahh, this could be a subdivision of the poll, do "floating bottom" tanks, fail any more than fixed? lol, perhaps another time.

£120 for Rio 180 with lights, pump/filter and stand. Hasnt leaked :D obviously 2nd hand

my first tank, a juwel rio 180 - €200 second hand
2nd tank juwel 60L 2nd hand - €20
3rd tank juwel 60L 2nd hand- €7
4th tank 500L/2m long hand made 2nd hand- €81!!!

all these tanks came fully equipped with stands, heaters, filters, air pumps gravel lights food fish plants decorations extra pumps, nets etc

4/5 of my tanks were sourced via the local ad mag. Not had a leak touchwood. My only new tank would be the custom made 90 gallon with specific dimensions to fit a gap in the wall.

2nd hand you can get some deals, my latest (and last tank) 48"x18"x24" - inc. stand + hood, 2 eheim pumps, 2 300 watt heaters, lights, trickle filter, water purification kit (never used), test kits, meds = £75

of my current 30 tanks only 2 were new, no leaks or breaks

Of the thirty tanks I have running, about half of them are used. My used tanks were always good bargains and I can't say I've had any trouble with them. Some were even bought (around 4 years ago) from an lfs when they were reducing the size of their fish department. I used to have a 20 gal. long that I picked up off a curb and it never gave me trouble until I damaged it myself while I was moving.

thanks for your reply :D could every body make a vote though. the comments are really handy, but voting will give us a picture of the, type and problems we have with them.

for some reason i can't vote.but anyway,my 30 gal was given to me and my 60 gal i bought new and neither of them has ever leaked.

nether cna i , can you edit the poll so all the Q's are Y or N? ( the last two)otherwise i cant vote

don't need any no's, only yes's
if you aint had a tank go, no need to vote in the second section. if you voted in the first section that would be a no vote.
