New MG Betta pics

Well I picked up a new betta today, he was the only color of his kind where I went and ive never seen a MG in real life so I had to get him. he isnt the prettiest thing but I like his colors and he has a cute personality. I named him Nipper cause when I put him in his new home he started nipping all the decor and gravel. here are some pics, but they arent the greatest to show his colors, his fins are a brighter yellow.

What dose MG mean?

I used to have a betta exactly like that with the yellow in the fins. He was pretty.

it means Mustard Gas..the original strain was created by some guy, and people started producing bettas of all colors with yellow like mine in their fins and decided to name the strains mustard gas as well..even though a true MG is blue/yellow..or green/yellow i believe..this is only what I have heard I'm no expert..so experts correct me if i am wrong.

an american that goes by the name "uncle junkin" was the first person to breed "mustard gas". in theory, only his bettas should be called true mg but nowadays a lot of breeders are claiming their fish are mg and selling them as mg.
i own a couple of females and one plakat boy who have mg gene in them myself, no denying their "coolness" factor.
