Hello there,
Fish keeping is awesome, especially creating realistic biotope tanks -- that's my passion in fish keeping. My husband and I are currently graduate students earning our Master's of Natural Science degree in Missouri. In addition to being full time students, we conduct field research for our thesis via the Conservation Dept. We are often found on the Mississippi River collecting fish data by means of electrofishing, seining, etc. Although our small apartment doesn't allow pets, we currently have a 40 gal breeder (cycling, soon to be an Amazonian black water set-up), a 3.5 gal hydroponic aquarium with a small school of Cherry Barbs (P. titteya), a veil tail betta in the bathroom (affectionately named "Johnny-Loo), and two 10 gallons (empty at the moment) waiting for a stand to be built to accommodate them.
Thanks for reading my introduction! I'm excited to be a part of this forum community.
