Hi Ppl,Just thought i would say a few things cos im all excited :) ,Doing my weekly maintenance on my tank i found a few fry which can only be guppies due to the tank being guppys only! Anyways got down to my cleaning and noticed a few fry darting around in the plants at the back of the tank so i carefully syphoned my tank water into my bucket and put my fry from the bucket into a net breeder, put in a little Tetramin Crushed baby food and to my surprise it was gone in approx 2 mins,so added a little more,in the meantime i was carrying on with my cleaning duties,i opened the filterbox and there was around another 20 fry in there so yes i also put them in my net breeder,i then tryed to carry on again vacuuming my gravel and out of a few more plants came prob another 10-15 fry so i put in more crushed flake and this again is gone in 2-3 mins.Im just shocked that they can manage to eat flake from this early age(they really cannot be more than a day or 2 old).Last time i found live bearer fry i wasted a load of dosh on liquifry when they could of had flake :X .Just wondered if anyone else has noticed this with Guppy fry?????

seems like theres no point in buying Liquifry food then which isnt cheap either :look: yes i am tight fisted even though its only a few quid......but better in my pocket

lol so theres no need to buy liquifier then.
good luck with your fry and lets hope i have a bit of luck tomorow with my new male
and female guppys.
do you think they will breed?

will just update my post, just moved all my fry to a 5 gallon tank with a fluval 1 filter, just till there big enough to go in my 4ft tank but they are all doing well and seem more active than they were in my net breeder, but i would expect they would be more active in there anyhow!! i feed them small amounts of crushed flake 3-5 times a day and just stated feeding some very small amounts of algae tablets to the bigger oneswhich are 5 weeks old now, they love it :)
