Just offering some advice. I'm no mariner at all, but me and my family recently (and are still going through) a battle with my mums previous employers. They owed her travel money whcih she never got due to managers no0t being in the o0ffice and holidays and excuses along the lines of 'oh yes it's on my to-do list!'
After months (and I mean, months, this has been going on since Christmas) of my mum ringing up every day near enough asking for her money, she got fed up and went to see a lwayer. Two days after them receiving a letter from her lawyer, an invoice arrived through the letterbox for the full amount she was owed. Oh the wonders of friendly lawyers!

Get a friend (or even yourself) to write a businessy sounding letter from a made up lawyers firm if you dont want to pay out for their services

Citizens advice are helpful to an extent, they will only offer advice, they wont get the ball rolling for you, well, they havent done in the times I've had dealings with them.

Trading standards will only help if the shop have infringed their own returns/rewards policies. In the shops eyes they have offered you a form of a reward, although it isnt suitable obviously.

Not trying to dampen you down or anything just offering my advice. Still contact them though, your case might be different! Obviously where live animals are concerned it is a different matter aswell, so you might have more leeway in that the shop havent made sure the fish will be in suitable environments, especially because your stats were good.

I can't believe this so called fish shop!...They're an absolute disgrace!

I think its time to go all legal on there @ss!

I'd start by consulting the citizens advice bereau and trading standards, closely followed by a decent solicitor.
If you have a case then take them to the cleaners......I would!

Don't they realise how damaging this to them if word was to get out!..They're playing with fire imo!

Why not stand out side their shop with a big banner saying what a joke they are and protest and stop anyone customer that walks into their shop and explain to them what happened to you!

You'd be making a statement that your not letting this go until you get what you deserve from them.

A bit extreme I know but as the saying goes..........................Desperate times call for desperate acts! lol

Thanks Woody i think if i am going to persue this , then it's the only way to go .. Wen't to maidenhead Aquatics today (my original LFS) spent £176 trying to restock .. bit to go yet . but a good service as usual .. A GOOD LFS

Yeah, I heard Maidenhead were a decent FS from a few mems on here!
