I just added 1 dwarf flame gouramis and 2 long-finned leopard danois, to my 10gal tank which already had 1 leopard danio and a pleco (about 6 inches long).

Its only been a couple days, but when i feed them, the gourami doesn't seem to eat. I notice when he goes after food he eats it up and spits it right back out. The new danios seem to eat something, but i notice them doing the spitting thing as well. I don't see the older danio doing any spitting. Anyways my only concern is that i had a new dwarf gourami die on me a couple of weeks ago and it seemed to do the same thing come feeding time. I also had a zebra danio die on me last week which did not seem to eat when I fed them.

I am feeding all my fish tropical flakes, which I was told that gouramis like. The pleco gets fed algae wafers.

I am just being paranoid or is there something wrong?

my goramis did that but they were biting bit off because it cam bk out off there mouths littler so there were eating. when they get bigger they are able to eat the whole flake.

you could try to feed them something else like blood worms or something else.

Keep trying different foods untill you find somethng they like. I had to try literally 11 differenct kinds of food untill I found one my betta liked!
