Nano Reef Diary... Updated 18/06/06

my host isnt working at the moment, hopefully it will start working again at some point today.

Although it is not mine, this is what my pussey coral looks like, but mine is more silver coloured with lovely red tips...

Ben,

Those are some GREAT shots you have of your tank. We have similar mushrooms it appears (burgandy color w/ green stripes. Love those... Those zoo's are cool too. like hot chocolate with marshmellow in the middle :)

Very nice tank!

Another update, got this gorgeous Gorgonia today. Seeing as i am doing well with my orange non-photosynthetic gorgonia, i would try another one. This one is a stunning black/red colour with bright-white polyps. Bargain at only £16.50!!!

Ben...can you post for all of us how you are feeding your gorgs and what are you using? Thanks. The only experience I have with them is a purple sea whip (pterogorgia sp) which was photosynthetic. I was able to keep it going with growth for several months and then it just quit on me. SH

Steelhealr, i was asked the same question another forum so i will post the same reply :ninja:

I don't actually target feed at all because it is such a small tank.I feed frozen plankton, brineshrimp and sometimes fine mussel from a syringe 2-3 times a day and feed a mix of Salifert Coral Food and Salifert All-in-one 1-2 times a week.

I also feed Tetra Prima, a tropical granular food because the blenny absolutely loves it and it seems to keep him fat and healthy. All the other critters in the tank also happily accept tetra prima, even the pipe-fish has a nibble!
