Name Your Fish?

My pleco somehow lost part of his right fin...so I named him Lefty! My bettas are King and betty...and I haven't named my dwarf gourami yet. Not naming the rosies...its too hard.

The kids have named them so far, but once we get the big tank going, and maybe do a bit more breeding, we'll have to be more selective- it's harder to rehome them once they've got a name.

The only fish I have named is my pleco at the moment, I call him james bond cause he is stealthy.

well my bronce cory is called Mooney, my lobster is called loubby, aftet the one and only me!! and the red bellies are call the frewkermia hit squad!!! the other arent original enough to name lol

Keyholes: dotty (two dots on one side where normally only one) and longshanks (really long fins)
Curviceps: rusty (red rusty patch on side) and wednesday (always spawns on wednesdays)
false lying fox: foxy (self explanatory)

Some of the others will get names in time maybe, such as betta and some dwarf cichlids, but the majority shall remain nameless.

larry & lucy (yoyo loaches) minimol - our teeny black mollie ( nearly a year old & 1/3 size of our other black mollies.) the others are either known collectively as 'the barbs' or the 'rummys' etc except mummy mollie & her other half -olly molly & george & mildred our swordtail pair.
no rhyme or reason to it at all.

I name them, I just don't usually refer to the by their names... I don't even remember their names...so yes, i do, but I don't use it for anything, and no, because I don't remember them.

We only have four officially named fish that are referred to by their given names
Mo-Mogurnda clivicola
Sunny-Gold Severum
Homer-Uaru
Big Red-Tough old Jewel Cichlid

And fish that will get names
Female Mogurnda clivicola
Adolescent Green Severum
Adolescent Uaru

I name all of my fish, I don't always remember them, but I write them down. They are all named in Japanese, because I like anime.
My mollies are Shinda and Sakanna (meaning dead and fish)
Bronze cory is Niao (the sound cats make in manga)
Leopard Danios are Itchi, Ni, San and Shi (1,2,3,4)
My Dwarf African frog is Kairu (frog)
I also just bought two kuhlii loaches, which i havent named yet.
The names aren't very imaginative, but oh well.

Some of my fish get names but not all of them, I mostly get help from my daughter with this otherwise I probably would not give them names. Although it is useful when talking about which Swordtail has just given birth if they have a name to go with.
