Hi everyone!

I was looking in one of my tanks this morning and all small "thing" on the inside of the aquarium. I looked closer and saw that it was some kind of snail. I have no idea how he got in there, but I assume he came with one of the plants I bought about 2 weeks ago and invited himself into my aquarium. I have no clue regarding snails so I wanted to see if anyone could shed some light on whether he is ok to have in the tank or not.

Here are some pictures and a video of him/her:

Bladder snail, will breed easily

It's only a 6.5/7 gallon tank, I'm not sure I want a whole bunch of snails in there. Any tips on how should I get rid of it, or should I?

For start I would pick any out that you can see, if you haven't already. One natural way is to get some Assassin Snails. The snails are harmless and other then becoming a pest by over multiplying they are beneficial to your aquarium.

Take them out manually and squash them or chuck them on the garden. They will dry out and die in the garden.

I concur - bladder snail. Not harmful but can overpopulate very quickly.

If you do not want to have snails, throw it outside or squish it.

Squash against the glass and your fish will eat them.
