it is a bit over stocked at the moment.. but i am moving 2 stingray pleco the rasboras maybe a few rams and the seb. corys to another tank soon
but i am putting in another 6-7 panda corys whenever they are available at my lfs

nice fishes bud.

your pleco looks like a Candy Striped Pleco (L - 015) according to this site where you can buy fishes.

nice tank. lots of fishes and first time ive seen a stingray pleco. looks really cool :)

thx alot!!! that looks more correct then a clown or flash but still not 100% sure yet..
the stingray pleco are actually a type of loach from asia somewhere but they are more known as stingray plecos

Ooh I like the 'stingray pleco's'!!

Love the bogwood - trying to soak mine at the moment so won't colour my water - not working though so far!

Any suggestions how to stop bogwood turning the water orange?!?!

Laura

Looks like a clown pleco to me and im pritty sure there hillstream loaches, not 'stingray plecs'.

A few potential problems,

1) A few SA species of Cichlid there, may have a few conflicts once sexual maturity comes into town.

2) Plecs need a mature tank, dont know how old yours is so i cant be sure if thats an issue :)

3) Hillstreams (If that is infact what they are), require slightly cooler tempteratures and a good strong current to thrive.

Apart from that, looks good :) more decor though, bulk it out a little.

Any suggestions how to stop bogwood turning the water orange?!?!

Soak it in a bucket of water for a few days/weeks untill it stops tanning the water :) else just wait it out, keep up with your water changes and use plenty of carbon and floss in your filter.

well every piece is kind of different. in my experience at least..
i have 2 piece in this tank one of them i soaked for about an week and all the colors came out
the other i soaked for over 2 months until the it stopped leaking that color.
if you already have them in your tank try chemi-pure =)

i will only end up keeping a pair of the rams or maybe even just one.
my tank is almost 2 years since its been fully cycled
i loaches are pretty hardy they will manage =x
i am working on more decor i was just thinking of putting an order on some driftwood this morning too

i am for sure its not a clown but one of these L270, L129, L199 and L 316

Yeah it's a bit overstocked, and I personally think it needs some plants. I'm also not a fan of the yellow plastic bucket in the corner. Other than that, I like your fish :).

God Bless,
Joshua

well i have decided either 4-5 rams go back to the fish store with in the next week or two the resboras and cherrys are both going into my almost cycled new tank when it finishes corys are going but i am replacing them too after its done my stocking should look like this

2 yellow rainbow
2 dwarf rainbow
2 basani rainbow
6 rummy nose
1-2 baluvian ram
4 hillstream loaches
6 panda corys
3 flounder

i really HATE fake plants.. i had lots in the tank before i took them all out though.. but i did by LOTS more bog wood today about what i have in the tank x3
and the orange buckets/cups are going once my clear caves tubes comes in =)
