The black sand looks MUCH better. much more natural (well as natural as it can) i use black sand and love it. Good choice. and what did you wrap that gravel in? I have NEVER seen that done before?!

Just used an old stocking.

It was recommended in The Wolfs Sand swapping thread, and so i went with it. Makes a lot of sense though, the stockin stretched hugely, and theres almost 10 lbs of gravel in there.

I am liking the sand better, because the colors of the fish, Especially the khulis stand out sooo much better than they did against that bright blue gravel. Im holding on to the gravel though, cause im thinkin about setting up a couple of betta tanks, and that would be perfect in there.

it looks much better with sand.Those fish will love you for it too.mabe some driftwood or a large piece of slate will finish it off.and plants will make it look more natural too
