Ok so yesterday i decided to finally do my rescape. I had already bought 4 bags of argos playsand (I only used 2 in the end). Here is a pic of my tank before:

I am interested to hear what everyone thinks and if anyone has any other ideas.

Cheers

Looks nice i like it. Good idea on using the bin (hope you emptied it first :p) i looked everywhere for a big bucket.

I bought the bin especially for the purpose. Was only £5.99 from wilkos. Holds 80 ltrs

The tank definitely looks great! Any reason you didn't use any taller plants?

The one on the left does go to the top of the tank when it floats properly. I just did the best with what i already had. (Bit skint atm)

spot on looks very nice sand makes it look a lot different
a lot better than plain old gravel i have used washed sharp sand before today
why not its only river sand as long as you boil and wash its OK and with bog wood and plants
it looks just like a real river bed

good luck biff

Looks so much better with sand, as all tanks do in my opinion.

Shame the last pic is blurry though.

Paul.

Looks really good now, vast improvement :good:

Just work on the photography now ;) just kidding
