He pulled the 1.5 gal hex off his dresser right by his bed and somehow got it to the middle of his bed before he dumped it all over. All but an inch of water and the girly. I was just amazed that he could lift it. He's only 2! Anyway, the poor little girl managed to stay in the tank along with about an inch of water so she was ok. My son ended up taking his nap on the couch since there was a gallon and a half of water in his matress. It's still not dry today. Luckly we have a trundle tucked uner his bed and that matress managed to stay dry so we did a matress swap last night.

Oh man, that's a close one! Good thing everyone's okay. Kinda funny story though :p

Yea, I'm working on making dividers for a 6 gal that I have had empty for a while. I'm going to split it into 3 sections and put my 2 white girls that are too agressive to go with the rest of the girls (one of which had the ride yesterday), and one of my plakat boys. If he can move a 6 gal tank, then I think I might have a little Clark Kent :flex: on my hands or something.

She didn't seem to freaked out or anything. I didn't see any stress lines so I think she took it ok.

 lol That's why I put a 20 gallon in my daughters' room. If they decided things needed a change, they would be putting stuff IN (still not allowed, of course) rather than pouring stuff out.

I am glad your little girlie was ok. I hope your little boy wasn't too shaken up.

Good luck getting that mattress dry before it smells like mildew.

My mom has been known to take matresses, blankets, foam pieces etc... wash them and put them out of the deck on a windy and or sunny day to dry. That always seems to work.

that is horrible... my grandma puts the mattresses (after she washes them) out side standing straight up facing the wind!

Lol thankfully bettas can live in that little amount of water because they are labrynth fish. Thats how most suppliers transport them. Im glad I've never had a mushy mattress though, great way to be prepared with the trundle!

Yikes...wake up call to me!!!!!!

I have a 1 gal in both my daughter's room (4) and my son's room (3). Both high up on dressers but now I will have to reevaluate.

Thanks for the heads up.
Sandi

Yikes! That's one of the dozen reasons my mother's grandson isn't allowed in my room on his weekly visits. He came in once, immediately grabbed a fish tank, and ran off with it. Luckily, I caught it and him before any harm was done, but now I don't even let the kid in the basement if I can help it. He's 3, and he seems to just LOVE fish.

Ah, the joys of parenthood :p
It's actually a pretty cute story... and a good reminder to me why I don't want kids
At least all parties escaped unharmed and the only damage is a soggy mattress
