My River Reef 94 Marine Adventure!

All salts are pretty much the same but I prefer the D&D I think a lot of people use it roughly 50quid for 23kg

if your SG is low this could cause the CA to read low but that is way low

Test the CA of the saltwater from your LFS

a couple of things id say -
always mix your own, you know you can trust it then

Follow the salt instuctions, mix the contents of the bucket up as the elements can get seperated in the salt if its been stored for a while

test new water before using it

well heres some pics from tonight, not sure yet about the new scaping, the toadstool not happy but I;m moving him again in a bit to the back, taking out the rock on right and taking the finger off and sticking to where the toadstool is now

I have rescaped again!!! Trying to catch the coral beauty led to a rescape as the old one fell apart!!!

well the coral beauty didn;t make it in the quarantine tank

gutted about that as he was a beauty

the only benefit to the way it is now is that there some floor space I want to fill with a maze corral if possible andI;d like a couple of zoa frags then I;m done

looking good Simonas, saw one of these tanks in my LFS the other week, i was sooo tempted!

hi mate

had prpblems with the fish and lost the coral beauty that was doing so well through white spot also one clown fish the same way. The remaining clown looks rough but a yellow and blue damsel andlawnmower blenny are spot on. theres two cleaner shrimps in there as well

Simon mate what is the name of the fish living inside of your Leather toad stool?!

Think he looks awesome! :hyper: :good:

Aye sold as a lawnmower blenny. hes the best fish I have ever had loads of personality!!

testing now before the water change tomorrow

ph 8.0 so up on last time
sg 1.024
ammonia 0 down on last time
nitrate 25 although slightly darker than 25 but not as dark as50 up on last time
calcium 240 - worryin

a water change will help those figures

well not long got back after being away for 8 days

the fish were not fed for 8 days but I cannot believe how much algae had grown on the glass and on the sand. done a water change and glass clean tonight so looks much better

since I been away the zoas that were being grown over by the ever spreading riccordea have come back big and strong and grown stalks!!! is this normal? the stalk on each one is about an inch long and it means they now get light. I had 7 heads when I got it 2 months ago now there are 12!!

the green metallic thing trachy? has gone really bulbous looks really well and for the first time the tentacles on each head have come out so that and the really healthy looking sun coral have been fed tonight
