My Rio 180 Betta Tank Journal... Pic Heavy...

I wouldn't have thought so if it wasn't too often, maybe just switch on the same side so they don't have to get used to a new male. I know my betta is really nosy and so they might appreciate a change of scenery once in a while.

Very nice Indeed!

I might try this "Coconut" Cave in my aquarium for my Plec!

He seems dull at the moment and i want to brighten he's spirits up!

aha might fit in with my upcomming theme!

If only there was a tuturial / Video on how to maek one of these caves!

its really simple, get a coconut,

* pierce the top twice with a screwdriver and a hammer in the dots that are on the top (weak points on the coconut)
* saw in half
* skin out the flesh (we found it easiest using a flat screwdriver)
* scrape off the fur/fuzz with the very tiny bit of the grater (called a zester)
* make a hole to get in (using a drill / saw then sand down with a file)
* OR my sister suggested sitting it slightly in the sand like you would a terracotta pot :good:

looks very good!! cant wait to see it stocked :hyper:

looking AWESOME! but dont you know of someone who has mature media to seed your filters? just a thought so you dont have to wait so long after your toils:)

you have to get some sort of netting (orange fruit bags) then wrap it around the coconut and the moss should start growing onto it :)

lol

Well, all you need to do is anchor it long enough for it to get it's own root attached. so either elastic bands, cotton tread, or fishing line. I think i've got a photo of my betta tank where the moss has attached it's self just by stuffing it behind lodgeing it in place.
