My Rio 180 Betta Tank Journal... Pic Heavy...

some of the plants pictured have a rhizome (long horizontal bulb) and this needs to be above the substrate, if it is submerged it will rot and kill the plant, could this be why they're dying? otherwise it could be that they're non aquatic. which lighting unit is on this tank? is it T5 or T8?

Progress is good so far, I have enjoyed reading this journal.

the plants? theyre all fake. the live plants i had were all floating which is where i wanted to keep them (apparently they could float or plant them.

well, today i went picked up my first female betta she is a HM marble, her tail is missing, but you wouldnt think it

well, this is her in Gill's tank (very nice guy cant recommend enough)

and in the bag, bless her (shes soo tiny! but feisty!)

sorry for the dodgy pics but she is so tiny the camera couldnt focus on her!

Kev has named her flea, as she zooms round like a little water flea

going to slightly change the tank tomorrow (hopefully) and put the ex700 on this tank instead and put the spray bar through the dividers as the heat etc isnt being spread enough

also, i'm about to start another thread for my second betta tank

theyre STILL flaring at each other. they get worse when i turn on the light, feed them, clean them.... and now Nemo has Flea to flare at too lol

i dont know if she will grow a tail, she has one complete bottom fin that goes from her belly right up to her top tail (where it should be)and then her normal top fin

Clean water should help her tail beutiful female betta Not into females but this one caught my eye.

She Looks nice, Her Fins Will never grow back as there was nothing for them to grow back from, the tail had gone completely. Her Dorsal and Anal Fin act together to propel her in water.

Ohhhh I did not realise you may have wanted silk plants I still have lots of the 12-16" Plants.

Oh NO, Whats Wrong, Is She Pale, as she Changes Color alot. From Dark to almost Skin Tone.
